The origins of dipro date back to 1980, when it was established in Zurich, Switzerland, as a engineering company for digital processing, particularly in the field of digital mapping. In the wake of increasing market presence in east-european countries in the early nineties, two independent sales and support centers in Bratislava and Prague were established. About 7 years ago, the system- and software-development departments and related commercial activities were also moved to these cities (handling and quality assurance is still done in Switzerland).
