2. Ease of use

Generating electronic surveys with QGen is easy. Two user interfaces (one for generating the questionnaires, one for evaluating the answers) guide you step by step through the process.

A.  Starting Page
You start a project with an introductory page (e.g. welcoming participants, declaring goals, rules etc.) where you may also include your company logo or a graphic relating to the subject presented, define color scheme and typeset, as well as up to three language versions, etc.
FEATURE:  Access to the starting page may be granted with a password, if so desired.

B.  Participant's Data
Follow up with a page to identify participants. In addition to the usual personal data you may also include up to five additional specifications (groups) such as gender, education, special experience areas etc., which you may use to further identify participants.
FEATURE:  Surveys may also be conducted anonymously.

C.  Questions: Multiple Choice
Select a type of question (there are 6 types) and enter your text. You may define one or more correct answers.
FEATURE:  Multiple choice type questions may also be used to determine trends, i.e. the statement of the question may be a) always true, b) mostly true, c) rarely true, d) never true.

D.  Questions: Multiple Choice with Comment
You may add comments or explanations to all types of questions.
FEATURE:  Text field size (layout) may be adjusted according to content.

E.  Questions: Selection
Now choose a different type of question (e. g. "selection") and enter the text. Questions may be subdivided by offering several answers under one component (drop-down menu).

F.  Questions: Feedback
Questions may allow for feedback by the participants.

G.  Questions: Ruler
Questions may be answered with a ruler (e. g. with percentage intervalls).

H.  Questions: Integrating Picture- and Audiofiles
Questions may also include picture- and audiofiles for additional explanations.
FEATURE:  You may define the questions to be in a random sequence, limit the time to answer or allow for the answers to be copied onto a clipboard (and for the participants to interrupt the questioning).

I.  Modules
Questionnaires may be divided into multiple modules, thereby allowing for a more individual analysis of the subjects surveyed.
FEATURE:  Send QGen questionnaires to participants via internet, intranet or LAN as small exe-files.
